The
Experimental Series-Series 25
My studio experience does not wait for inspiration to stike. I have many
surfaces in process all the time. I mix quantities of transparent acrylic
glazes which I apply to most of these surfaces, watching the development
of the design. Pouring, spraying, printing, scraping, lifting, and blotting
paint in addition to using a variety of brushes are application techniques.
New types of water-based watercolor or acrylic paint (metallic, pearlized,
etc), new pallete colors, cutting, weaving, reassembling painted surfaces,
collage, and transfer methods might be explored. The main theme is to
bring the surface to completion, with content, using the elements and
principles of design. Prints are available.
